Refunds
You are eligible for a full refund within 14 days from the date of purchase, provided you have not used the Service in any form or way. This means zero API requests, zero token usage, and no utilization of any Service feature whatsoever. If you have made even a single request or consumed any usage through the Service, you are not eligible for a refund.
After the 14-Day Window
Once 14 days have passed since your purchase date, all sales are final and non-refundable, regardless of whether the Service was used. No refunds, credits, partial refunds, or exchanges will be issued after the 14-day period has elapsed.
What Constitutes “Usage”
For the purposes of this policy, “usage” includes but is not limited to:
- Sending any API request through the Service (regardless of whether it succeeded or failed)
- Consuming any input or output tokens
- Using any dashboard feature that triggers a proxied request
- Any recorded activity on your account beyond initial login and account setup
Usage is determined solely by our internal logs and analytics. Our records are authoritative and final for refund eligibility purposes.
Gifts and Promotional Credits
Gift purchases, promotional credits, and bonus allocations are non-refundable under all circumstances.
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund within the eligible 14-day window, contact us through the dashboard or reach out directly. Include your account identifier and date of purchase. Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
By completing a purchase, you agree to resolve any payment concerns directly with us before initiating a chargeback or dispute with your financial institution. Filing a chargeback or payment reversal without first contacting us and allowing reasonable time for resolution constitutes a violation of this policy.
If a chargeback or dispute is filed in violation of this policy, OpenLimits reserves the right to:
- Immediately and permanently terminate your account and revoke API access
- Contest the chargeback with full documentation including evidence of this policy, usage logs, and acceptance records
- Recover the disputed amount plus all fees and administrative costs incurred
- Report fraudulent disputes to applicable fraud prevention services and databases
- Pursue any additional legal remedies available
EU and UK Consumers
If you are located in the European Union, European Economic Area, or United Kingdom, you may have a statutory right of withdrawal for digital purchases. Our 14-day refund window for unused accounts satisfies and exceeds this requirement. Once you have used the Service (made any API request or consumed any usage), you expressly acknowledge that the digital service has been fully commenced and that any statutory withdrawal right is thereby exhausted in accordance with applicable consumer protection directives.
Data Protection and Refunds
This Refund Policy is independent from your data protection rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, or any other applicable privacy legislation. Exercising data rights (such as requesting data deletion or portability) does not create any entitlement to a refund or credit. Conversely, the denial of a refund does not affect your data protection rights in any way.
Policy Changes
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes take effect upon posting and apply to purchases made after the date of change. Purchases made prior to a policy update remain subject to the policy in effect at the time of purchase. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
